If you are reading this, you are either a very fast reader or my redirect is not working. This blog is merely a placeholder linking to my casual digs at http://blog.brian-fitzgerald.net
I grew up in the Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York.
I've Lived in Rome, Paris, UK, and an olive farm in Italy. Currently in Amsterdam.
I delayed a nuclear test detonation in the Nevada desert for four days in 1983 when I was 25, by hiking in to ground zero and hiding out. Federal trespass.
I've been a part of campaigns that have taken on major corporations and a few governments and forced them to back off from crimes against the planet.
I've sailed across the Bay of Bengal, up and down the East Coast of the US, and circumnavigated Iceland.
I believe that despite the goodness and humanity of the individuals that comprise them, governments and corporations are soulessly without scruples and lacking in conscience, and that only vigilance and opposition keeps them in check.
I work for Greenpeace.
